Giant Cell Variant of Hepatocellular Carcinoma

Abstract

|
|
Giant cell variant of hepatocellular carcinoma is well recognized2´´;´4). However, it is sufficiently rare to warrant reporting, especially when this malignant tumor invade and metastasize extensively. According to Peters5), about 14/o of hepatocellular carcinoma contain giant cells, but one composed mostly of giant cells must designated as giant cell variant. We experienced an autoposy case of giant cell variant of hepatocellular carcinoma composed mostly of pleomorphic malignant giant cells, with diffuse invasion of abdominal organs and metastasis to the mesentery and transverse colon.
